Our Purpose
IMPACT is a community-driven initiative in collaboration with other organizations with the mission to increase available FASD-informed mental health care.
We believe that every individual with FASD deserves access to mental health supports that recognize their unique strengths, needs, and experiences. By working together and sharing knowledge, we can build more responsive, inclusive, and effective mental health supports for people with FASD.
Whether you are new to learning about FASD or have years of experience, this website is designed to help you make an impact. On this website, you will find:
Practical tools for service providers, caregivers, and individuals with FASD that can strengthen knowledge, encourage reflection, and expand existing mental health practices and services.
A centralized hub of mental health resources to support further learning, service delivery, and access to FASD-informed mental health care.
Find Your Tools
Because improving mental health is a shared journey, we have created tailored ‘kits’ based on who the tools are primarily designed for: individuals with FASD, caregivers, and service providers.

Service Provider Community Of Practice
The Service Provider Community of Practice (CoP) is a collaborative effort between IMPACT, CanFASD, and FASD United. Together, these organizations have established a shared online platform for service providers across North America who support individuals with FASD and their families, as well as those interested in learning more about working with individuals with FASD. No prior experience in this area is necessary.
The CoP meets once a month for one-hour-long sessions. Each meeting addresses a specific topic, providing both structured information and opportunities for facilitated discussion. Through the CoP, we aim to facilitate connections, share knowledge, and reflect on how to better support each other and those we serve. To register for an upcoming CoP, click the button below.
Meet IMPACT
The IMPACT project was co-developed by community partners to improve current mental health service delivery for people with FASD in Alberta. Our team consists of individuals with FASD, caregivers, service providers, researchers, and policy makers. Their voices have guided and shaped the development of the tools and resources available on this site.
